Mobile testing overview

Run automated tests on real iOS and Android devices using Playwright Mobile and Appium.

Mobile Testing in Check Studio is currently in beta. It supports real device testing via cloud device farms and emulator testing for local development.

Supported frameworks

  • Playwright Mobile (Chromium on Android, WebKit on iOS)
  • Appium for native and hybrid apps
  • WebdriverIO as an alternative driver

Getting started

  1. 1Enable mobile testing in Settings > Labs
  2. 2Connect a cloud device farm account (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm)
  3. 3Write tests using mobile-specific fixtures
  4. 4Run with checkstudio run --mode=mobile
